Yes and that is what I'm asking this fellow to understand. Kongu is weekly and is just a passing train. Rajdhani on the other hand is not affordable to all. Now people are being compelled to travel via longer routes.

I'm not sure about kurnool. But sbc rajdhani gets good patronage from GWL even though there's a direct flight to blr and the quota has also been increased recently. Ksk with the older route would have given an alternative to the people who couldn't afford rajdhani and could reach Bangalore in less time.
It'd have been best to keep the 12649 on it's older route with 12629 via the current circuitous route with changes in frequency for both the trains and keep the 22685 via pune only.
But IR won't grant...

All Bangalore to Delhi trains run on longer routes. Not even Rajdhani on shortest route. Now a great route is found!!!.
It is better to allot a daily Hubli Delhi train and run all other Bangalore Delhi trains without touching Hubli. I never expected removal of 3 coach link train attached to Goa express will lead to this much issues!!!
